Yesterday, May 20th, was Wade's birthday! I hope he had a wonderful day because the kids and I had a great time. We had to drop him off at work (usually he gets a ride into work but his ride couldn't do it) which was good! We stopped by Sam's Club so he could get a cake to share with everyone for breakfast. I know, cake for breakfast! It's because the new insurance health challenge says you have to eat a healthy lunch and so they had to find an alternative meal to eat the cake. Then the kids and I came back for lunch. Wade requested Quiznos subs (by the way, I newly discovered this a few months back. I LOVE IT!!! Better than subway) with chips and dip. YUM! Then after school we ate chocolate dipped strawberries, went to Mandarin Garden for dinner and a few hours after that ate Trifle and Chocolate cake with raspberry filling with vanilla ice-cream. Talk about a food heaven. Kinda nice when every other day is dieting! I got Wade a tie, shoes and shirt (he picked out), and made him a trifle from the new trifle bowl! Jack gave him gourmet M&Ms (raspberry almond), and Haagan Daaz ice cream bars from Charlotte. Here are some classic pictures of Wade:

Notice the lovely pair of ...ahem...on the clothesline to the right?

Apparently this is the first day of school for Wade. LOVE THE GUMBOOTS.

Uncle Gary and Wade.

Isn't he just SO CUTE!!!!

Wade's birthday cake...it was so hot outside that when I came back in the afternoon (was gone all day) those pretty chocolate decorations had melted! I was sooooooooooo upset. So I made new ones and didn't put them on until a few min. before we sang happy birthday. And they were started to melt again within those minutes! Thankfully, there's a picture of them!

Jack LOVES chocolate. Naughty to give him chocolate but we do it anyway. True Kiwi. Charlotte was in bed already so we had birthday cake and ice-cream AND trifle with Jack!! YUMMMM!!

The day's delicious treats consisted of chocolate dipped strawberries...my intent wasn't to make them look pretty...just to put as much chocolate on as possible! : )

Good blowing out candle form, Wade. he he

Wade loved his traditional trifle. Haven't had it since we were in New Zealand. Wade's mum makes it and had to follow her instructions exactly!
