Today was the first day of all day school (8:30-3) and the day she gets to take her lunch! And the first day the school bus comes! Usually the school buses are like this:
But since Charlotte's school is "private" and just recently joined forces with the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind they use private transportation services. I told Charlotte her bus was a white school van and she seemed a bit disappointed because she was expecting the cute, typical yellow school bus but then again she was just excited to ride the "bus" to school with her friends!
Each bus has only 3 kids in the two buses so she only got half of her friends but you should have seen her smile! She LOVED it. And she got a brand new car seat because she's not big enough to sit on the seat without one. It was hard to have her go. I'm not kidding you. Typical mom thing plus you hear about scary stories on the news. I was so worried. I know those things won't happen but it still is scary to put your child's life in someone else's hands. But taking the bus will ease the miles on the car, gas and time. Quite a wonderful blessing for us.

She looks darling, I am still rather sad that her and Luke are not in the same class for at least half the day, but oh well. I am so glad the bus is working out, I was all set to put Luke on it but Eric is able to take him and likes that time with him in the mornings so for now we are still taking him. But if Eric's schedule changes I might just be doing the bus too. Too much running around is making me crazy!

Wow a bus! Things certainly are changing fast around there! I'm going to try and visit the school next week when I'm in town for a wedding. Hopefully I'll catch a glimpse of cute Charlotte!
