Chocolate Molten MICROWAVE cake....
Yep, you read right! It's absolutely delicious and it works and it's stinkin' easy! I hope you all are curious and try it. I forgot to take pictures but just imagine a chocolate cake in a bowl : )
1 chocolate cake mix (and the ingredients to make it: eggs, oil, water)
1 container of store bought chocolate frosting
1 container of vanilla ice-cream.
Prepare cake mix as instructed on the box. Place batter in a GLASS bowl. (I even mix up the cake mix in the glass bowl to eliminate a dish! i'm so smart). Place all the chocolate frosting in the middle of the batter. ALL of it. On the BATTER. Yep, you heard right! Then, open up your microwave. Place the bowl in it. Shut the door and cook it on regular settings for 10 min. Be careful, it's hot when you get it out of the microwave.
Serve with vanilla ice cream!!!
Seriously dang good!

Jack-a-roo stats!
We took Jack to the dr. yesterday for his 4 month well child visit. He sure is healthy and growing. We are so thankful for that. He's 16 lbs 3 oz (71% on the growth chart) and 26 3/4 inches (94% on the growth chart) now. Big boy! He's been such a joy. So happy and mellow. He wasn't happy last night. Had a hard time calming him down because of his tender legs that had the shots but with some Tylenol...he slept pretty good. We love you Jack-a-roo!!!
Christmas!
Well, if you can all believe it, it's DECEMBER 2ND! I feel like this year has flown and that it possibly can't be coming to an end. I remember in March that I couldn't believe that it was about to be April. But I'm so excited for Christmas! Becky and the family are coming to MY house. We've got so much in store for them and we're going to have the best time!!! I'm excited to bake, listen to Christmas music and especially to feel the Christmas spirit. We decorated our tree and house the day after Thanksgiving (of course I finished up on the Sat. after). And Wade had put up the lights on the house a few days before Thanksgiving and then put out the reindeer and other lights on the bushes and tree with Steve on Saturday. I love it! I'm so excited for Christmas and it's not to receive gifts. I really don't care if I get any...my favorite part is to GIVE gifts, to be with my family and to remember the birth of our Savior. That's the best part of Christmas.
Jack's first taste...and peaches are so dang good!
Last week when Jack officially turned 4 months old, we decided to see how he'd like food. I wasn't sure if he was ready or not but I was so eager. I seriously thought he'd love food instantly and devour every bite since Charlotte was unable to do that at first when she first had solids. But turns out that maybe this is just a normal thing to not like food at first! Of course, we went to the dr. yesterday. We totally did it the wrong order on when to introduce foods but oh well! It was fun. We aren't going to force foods right now on him, just want him to enjoy the food every once in awhile til he's ready for them. But we need to start out with Rice Cereal first...which we tried the other day with him too--after the bananas that we gave him. He hated the bananas the most. Wouldn't even move his mouth to get rid of it. It was so funny. He had a disgusting look on his face for the rice cereal but actually ate it. He's such a crack up. I love my little booger so much! Here are some pics and a video about his first taste with the peaches.
Stephen came to visit!
What would be a blog without a family funny picture! I know, I didn't get one with Mike...but the kids did one with me. He already had one taken with Becky a month ago and for some reason....he didn't look like Mike in that one!!! lol. But yeah, Steve came for the Thanksgiving break. We had a great time with him. He joked a lot with Wade and me, watched movies, relaxed, helped clean out our gutter in the back, helped with blowing the leaves, put up some christmas lights outside and played with Charlotte. There's a nice big ball of icicle lights hanging from the same place our hanging plant usually goes. It's so cool at night but hideous during the day. Wade loves it and is keeping it up. Oh well. Totally random though! lol. hmmm. Maybe we should have steve come more often. Looks like he did a lot of hard work for us : ) Charlotte LOVED steve! He was so tender with her too. I thought she would have been scared of him since his whole effort in growing a beard is to look like the unibomber. But Charlotte LOVED steve and went to him, etc. I thought that was funny since she had a hard time going to Becky ...even Kecia too. Two beautiful people but went to steve who looks like a terrorist....um, Charlotte, what's up with that? ha ha. Must be a man thing. Thanks for coming, Steve. We had a great time with you! Especially all the insights on America, economics and politics. lol. It's been awesome. All my siblings came to see me within a 6 week period! I just wish more of the nieces and nephews were able to come. But that's alright! I am grateful for all the family I've got to see so far : )
Thanksgiving.
Like every year we are in America, we celebrated Thanksgiving at Aunt Jean and Uncle George's house. We were to go down to Wade's aunts and uncles this year since Becky and her family are coming to our house for Christmas (Less than 3 weeks! I can't wait!!!) but since Stephen came out for Thanksgiving this year we felt that we should accept Jean's offer for Thanksgiving. I'm sure glad we did. We had a fun time talking with them and of course my cousin Emily and her husband Jay and also Aunt Barbara, Uncle Paul and Eric came too. Mike and Kecia came but had Thanksgiving dinner with Kecia's sister's family. They stopped by Aunt Jean's for a little bit in the evening to say hello. It was a lot of fun! So I forgot to get a picture of the food and table but it goes without saying that it was delicious!!! I love Thanksgiving. It's a time of reflection and to give thanks for all that we have.
